What Do Visible Blood Vessles On The Temples Indicate?
HI I just started taking Ramipril 10 mg every morning. Blood pressure was 195/110. it is now 160-164/102/104 in the morning. I notice protruding blood vessels by my left eye/temples. should I be concerned? Is this dosage not strong enough. Sometimes I can get it down to 134/70 during the day. Also should I take lose dose aspirin?
As you mentioned, your blood pressure is not being controlled by using only the ramipril. The readings that you mentioned , with the exception of the 134/70, are all too high.
They would all be classified as a stage 2 blood pressure, which is the highest stage.
Your doctor would need to consider adding another medication to help reduce these readings. In addition to medication, it is important to make diet changes and make sure to get enough exercise (at least 150 mins a week)
There is diet called the DASH diet, that is used to help reduce blood pressure
In term of the aspirin, you can use it to help reduce the risk of a heart disease or stroke
I hope this helps
