Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had just received my Echocardiogram 2D and found the following: Left Ventricle- The left ventricle size is normal Overall left ventricular systolic fuction is preserved with an EF between 65-70%. Left ventricular wall thickness is normal. there is stage 1 diastolic dysfction. I have hypertation and actually medicated would you explain me if I need surgery or treatments ??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
According to your echocardiography results you have ejection fraction (EF) of 65-70 %, which is good. left ventricular size is normal with normal wall thickness. This all findings are normal. There is mild dis-functioning in diastole, which could be because of hypertension. So according to me this problem is mild & wouldn't require any surgery. Only your medicines would be adjusted.
Refer to your cardiologist Hope this information helps
