Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is 32 years old. His blood work is normal but his lymphocytes differential count is 45%. Normal range is 20-40. There is no mention of neutrophils in the report though. His MCHC is 350 and the range is 310-350. I am also worried why it is eactly at the outward range value. His His urea in Renal function test is 3.0 and normal is 3.2 and uric acid is 454 (normal is 209-431). We did eat protein rich food a few days before the test. Should I be worried by these readings? He is otherwise healthy and leads an active lifestyle and is a non-smoker teetotaller.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
First of all you should get absolute lymphocyte count of your husband. Absolute count = 45* TLC/100. If absolute lymphocyte count is normal then higher percentage is due to reduction in number of neutrophils. If absolute lymphocyte count is elevated it shows some pathology like Acute viral infections, Tuberculosis etc. MCHC of 350 is normal so is urea level. Only abnormal finding is uric acid level is 454, which can be due to eating protein rich food & will start dipping with time.
Refer to your physician for consultation Don't worry he would be fine Hoping your query is solved
