What Do These Blood And Ultrasound Reports Indicate?

Hello Doctor. I am alcoholic and I found my liver enzymes are elevated AST was 67 and ALT was 82 in LFT tests. I got ultrasonagraphy done on lever and the result came back as Mild Hepatomegaly with Grade III fatty changes. Will abstaining from alcohol cure my condition. Is ultrasonagraphy capable of detecting fibrosis or cirrihosis is there was any?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

According to sonography report you are having grade 3 fatty liver and because of that hepatomegaly...

Alcohol leads fatty liver first and than can progress to hepatitis and cirrhosis as well

Hence you should start treatment for fatty liver as follow...
-stop alcohol drinking
-less fatty foods
-use good oil in cooking like sunflower oil
-one hour moderate exercise
-refined food and cheese, butter, meat like Trans fat avoided
-fruits more
-udiliv 300 mg BD tablet taken
-vitamin E capsule also beneficial
-repeat report after month
-lemon juice, carrot, Indian gooseberry like good food for liver consumed more

With keeping my treatment in mind consult gastroenterologist for examination
