Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am currently on anti-inflamatory meds for a glenoid labrum tear. I have slghtly elevated level of AST (SGOT) at 60 and ALT (SGPT) at 70. Is this a significant matter? My blood work elsewhere was fairly OK. My total cholestrol is 215 and I am a bit overweight 58 year old. Thanks
Hello , welcome to HCM, I appreciate your concern. Dont worry this is not a serios scenario. As other reports and parameters are normal.now as you are obese so mild fatty changes may occur in your liver. This might cause the mild elevation.. You should go through an usg whole abdomen to confurm it. Hope this is helpful. Regards.
