What Do The Following Abdominal And Pelvic Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Sir, my daughter is aged 3 years, when she complained stomach pain I was advised for ultrasound of abdomen & Pelvic. Now report indicates as .................Mild prominence of pelvicalyceal system of left kidney, no evidence of calculi in both kidneys. Collecting system is normal on right side. Both kidneys are normal in size, shape and echo pattern. Is anything serious with this or is there any medication to such problem. My doctor said u just ignore, nothing to worry.

Hello,
I have gone through your ultrasound report and I can understand your concerns.
The ultrasound looks almost normal and nothing abnormal to worry in it.
There is no calculi(stones) or any other structural abnormalities are detected. Size and shape of both kidneys are also normal.
The only thing that might concern you is prominent pelvicalyceal system. Mildly prominent refers to a finding that the renal pelvis (central portion of your kidney) is mildly enlarged. It could be a normal variant in some individuals. Not at all important in your case and you can ignore it.
As of now no need to worry and no treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
