What Do The Findings In Second Trimester Ultrasound Suggest?
Hi mam..I went for routine ultrasound scan today. Its 18 weeks. They Detected a slight dilatation of the Rt.fetal renal pelvis measures 0.5cm with normal amniotic acid. This is my first pregnency. Is there any risk?Is everything fine? Please Tell what it means and Will it have anything to worry.
Fetal renal pelvis dilation (RPD) is a rare occurrence and is usually considered to be associated with urinary tract abnormalities only if the dilation is found to be above 9 cm. In your fetus, the dilation is only 0.5 cm and in my opinion with this value, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Continue doing whatever you are doing to take care of yourself and do not stress.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
