What Do The Findings In Early Pregnancy Ultrasound Suggest? What Is The Prognosis?

As per sonography report dt,8.1.14 :The uterus is anteverted, enlarged and shows a well defined gestational sac. The GS is 14 mm corresponding to 5 weeks 2 days. No foetal pole yet seen. Cervical length : 40 MM.
LMP: 21.11.13, GA: 6 Wks 6 days. delayed conception? & remarks as to maitain follow up for cardiac activity.
My next sonography date will be 16.1.14. how many chances of heart beat? is there any problem if 10 days delayed conception? above pregnancy progress is good or notplease reply.?

Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Did you have a history of regular cycles, or were your cycles delayed ?
If you had history of delayed cycles it is possible that you had delayed conception.
There is no mention of a yolk sac also which is visible at 5 weeks.
There is no way to say exactly what percentages are there of your going on to have a successful pregnancy.
If this is delayed conception, then the next scan should show a good fetal pole with a heartbeat.
In this scenario, there will be no problem even if it is delayed .
If the next scan shows similar findings, then you would need to undergo termination of pregnancy.
Also, make sure that the ultrasound is done transvaginally.
Abdominal scans do not reveal much details.
