What Do Red Spots On The Body Indicate?
Had colonoscopy on 12th;next day had red spots over my whole body; it s the 21st; still have to red spots. Was sedated with propofol; DR. is treating as a reaction to that? I ve been taking benadryl; had steroid shot and now taking medrol (SPP?) dose pac, 6 pills, yesterday, 5 pills today. Still look like a red dotted person.

Understanding your concern. Thanks for your query and as per your query you have red spots on the body. There are some factors like our environment , heat , cold , pressure and sun exposure ,which can act as trigger factor . Insect bite , pollen and some plants can can also cause red spot. As you are already taking treatment for allergic reaction, but i think finding trigger factor is very important to cure the condition. I would suggest you to give cold compresses to red spots several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl. If symptoms still persist the consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor . Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream , anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system . Herbal tea and aloe vera gel are also very helpful .
