Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have 20 red raised bite type bumps on my torso..mostly from back of legs to below breasts. Initially appear to be mosquito type, become itchy, inflamed as the enlarge , some with small yellow head. Same thing occurred a year ago and one became infected and drained ..help me identify possible cause. Discover them overnight. Home is sanitary but it seems like they appear in the morning.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of raised bumps on the torso which seems due to allergic reaction, side effect to certain medications and seborrheic dermatitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the site clean and dry , apply over the counter antibiotics ointment. Avoid pricking bumps. Take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and protect it from sun ray exposure . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antibiotics or immunosuppressants .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
