What Do Pimples On The Back Indicate?

Hello Sir... I m 25 yrs old...I have got some skin problem recently...At my back all sudden many spots have come... It looks like pimples... As prescribed by a doctor I use suthol lotion everyday.. so that i get relief from iching... Doctor has also given me Benzoyl Peroxide Gel i.p (persol Ac 5 gel)... I m using it from last few day.. but nothing has improved.. instead that spots are becoming reddish n hav increased lot thn it was before... please advice me what should i do.. Thank You

Thankyou for contacting HCM.

You seem to be suffering from Acne which can also occur on back. The medicines you are using is right for the treatment of acne, but as you said your acne have flared up since you have started acne i would recommend that you consult your dermatologist again.....not every drug suits everybody.

Your treatment plan may change and one thing important to remember is that treatment of acne takes time, usually months.

If I would have been your consulting physician my line of treatment would be tab. Azithromycin 500 mg once daily, Clindamycin phosphate gel for local application twice daily, soaps esp. formulated for treatment of acne

Also if it is a severe case of acne then vitamin A capsules but as this line of treatment need strict regulation i would again emphasize on getting your acne examined by a dermatologist.
