What Do Painful And Swollen Toes While Walking After Bunion Surgery Mean?

I had bunion surgery on one foot. It was not major bunion. The surgeon said my big toe had arthritis. Since the surgery, when I walk briskly, both large toes on my feet become very painful and I have to get off my feet. Ibuprofen helps relieve the pain. I tried soaking them in epsom salts warm water after one walk, the pain was so intense. Please inform, what do you advise? They swell, but do not change color, i.e., gout unlikely.
