Is Negative HIV 4th Generation Test After 6 Weeks Of Exposure Conclusive?
I have a negative hiv 4th generation test at 6 weeks. However I have positive ana + dsdna ifa and homogenous pattern.I have a past hx of a positive tpo.New labs were taken that showed ana- but my dsdna has gone up to a 7.Do I have any reason to fear being hiv +
You had negative 4th generation test result after 6 weeks of exposure that is almost 99% conclusive so you need not to worry much for that. Apart from this your ANA is also negative. If still you want to be 100% confirmatory than go for repeat testing after 3 months of exposure both with antigen and antibody test.
