What Do My BP Readings Indicate?

When a 70 yr old woman (my wife) has a normal systolic reading (128) and a low diastolic (58), what does that convey about her blood pressure? Should there be any concern? This reading resulted from increasing her Lisinopril meds from 5 to 10 mg as prescribed by her dr for high bp. The old reading was 176/85. Thank you, Doug

hi
multiple time BP records are more important than single time BP record.
however, your wife's BP (128/58) is near normal and suggestive that BP is under control for that time.
constant observation is required for BP monitoring.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The drug lisinopril - anti-hypertensive has reduced the systolic as well as diastolic blood pressure.

Thanks and take care
