What Do Blood Discharge From Ear With Headache And Congested Nose Suggest?

Hi, I have been sick with what I presume a cold....fever, cough, sneezing, headache and pressure behind my eyes. I thought I was starting to feel better only to wake this morning with my ears clogged to the point I can t ear and when I talk I sound muffled or in a tunnel and bad headache and when I blow my nose it is lemon yellow, my ear has been popping in and out with a lot of pain then cloggs back up I did get it to drain some and there was some blood with the drainage from my ear and I still feel a lot of pressure. Help please ! Thanks.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that fever, cough, sneezing, headache along with pressure behind the eyes seems to be due to sinus infection or sinusitis while clogged ears seems to be due fluid accumulation inside the ears and drainage from ears is due to ear infection secondary to cold and post nasal drip..
I would suggest you to consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS View or MRI Scan of sinuses while otoscopic examination of ears and audiometry can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers, decongestants nasal spray like Xylometazoline and oral decongestants like Pseudoephadrine..
Saline nasal irrigations and steam inhalations will help.
Use a cool mist vaporiser in your room..
Antibiotic and analgesic ear drops can also be advised..
