What diet should one follow while having sore throat ?

Hi, What are the types of food to be consumed while having a sore throat and food we should avoid..? Please advice ......

Hello. Thanks for writing to HCM.
sore throat does not requires eating any specific types of foods, though you must avoid very spicy food and cold drinks/ beverages as they might irritate the throat further. vitamin C is known to be beneficial . So as a home remedy for soothing the throat you can take juice of a lemon in lukewarm water with a teaspoon of honey, 3-4 times a day. It should help relieve you of the deep ache in throat. you can have any type of preferably home cooked food.

hi welcome to hcm.see you have to avoid oily,spicy,cold thing which increase your suffering ,you take ginger tea,turmeric milk,salt water gargle which may help you or taking medicine which help in quick recovery
