Hello sir;
Your lipid test shows that you have hyperlipidemia based on an excessive amount of triglycerides which on 7/2/11 were 220, an increase from 165 in 2010. Optimally, we would like to see your triglycerides below 150 mg/dl to reduce risk for heart disease. You can lower triglycerides by lowering your total fat in your diet except for omega-3 fatty acids or mono-unsaturated fats such as virgin olive oil or olives. Trans fat has to go. Decrease your sugary carbohydrates (doughnuts, banana bread, muffins, white bread, fructose, juice,) and exercise 150 minutes per week. Insurances usually approve lipid profiles once a year (although they are all different) and you need an updated lipid profile and complete instruction on a Triglyceride lowering diet.
