What Could Shakes And Tremors In Hands With Weakness In Knees Indicate?

I have been getting the shakes/tremours in my hands over the last few weeks. At times I feel weak at the knees as though the strength has gone. the tremours are sporadic and I am 47 yo age..hands are fine at rest but start to shake when I try to pick up something as small as a glass. What do you think this may be and is there a treatment?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, thanks for posting on HCM.
Tremors occurring when doing some action are called as ‘intentional tremors’. There are multiple reasons and causes for it.
You will need a detailed clinical neurological examination done by a neurologist and might also require a CT / MRI study of the brain.
I would advise you to consult a neurologist as early as possible.
I hope I have given satisfactory answer to your query, if you still have any more query kindly write back to me and I will be happy to help.
Thank you
