Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi there.

This new psinful condition is most likely due to cervical disc impinging on the spinal nerve roots.
It is more likely because you have history of degenerative disc disease.

Kindly get MRI of the cervical spine and show to sn orthopedician.

In the meantime start on :
Dexomathasone and Methycobalamine injections
Painkillets with muscle relaxants.
Local heat to the neck area with local gel massage.

Further treatment will depend on MRI report

I hope my advice has helped
Good luck
