What Could Severe Nose Bleeds?

Female, 29 years old, 135 lbs. Have been experiencing frequent and relatively serious nosebleeds (5 in the last 4 days). This morning it woke me up because I tasted blood in my throat. I experienced frequent nosebleeds as a child (especially when tired at sleepovers) and successfully had it cauterized over 20 years ago. I have never experienced so many nosebleeds with this level of blood loss ( similar to that of a blunt trauma and often from both nostrils). I have been feeling quite exhausted lately and am currently under a lot of stress. Are the nosbleeds related to my stress?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, yes nose bleeds are related to stress.
When body is under stress, there is lot of adrenaline released. This can cause nose bleed.
First try to reduce stress.
Empirically you can take ethamsylate 500 mg tablet thrice daily for 3 to 5 days.
Decongestant nasal drops( otrivin) 3 drops thrice daily for 5 days.
Do some deep breathing exercises to releive stress.
You may need a detail ent clinical examination with nasal endoscopic examination to rule out the cause and cauterization of the lesion.
Do consult your ent Doctor.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
