What Could Red Spots In Throat Indicate, Also Have Barret S Esophagus?

I have red blotches and red spots on the roof of my mouth toward the back of throat and on the side where my tonsils should be. (Had them taken out years ago) I only had a 99 fever today. Have not had one since then. I have acid reflux and barret s esophogus. I am getting my annual endoscopy on feb 20th. The dr tested me for strep in office today. Came back negative. Was not sure if it was due to viral, bacterial, or from my acid reflux. Just noticed yesterday. Never had this before in my life. Do you have any answers?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi
you are affected by gastroesophageal reflux disease.
When this presents in long duration it leads to barret esophagus. So you have to take proton pump inhibitors daily one tablet half an hour before breakfast for atleast 2 months to have complete cure. Moreover to prevent I would suggest some advise
1. Don't take too much spicy food.
2. Don't sleep as soon as the dinner is taken. Give atleast 1 hour gap.
3. Drink more water intermittent.
4. Don't take stomach full meals.
5. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any.

I wish you a speedy recovery. thank you.
