What Could Purple Spots In Vision Suggest?

My 3-yr old son started wearing glasses a little over a month ago - farsighted. On Saturday he started trying to catch "purple balls" out of the air. He swore that he was seeing little "balls" but there was nothing around. He has done this two times since. Any cause for concern?

his refraction can be repeated. he should undergotest for binocularity. he should be examined for astigmatism. he is to small to coperate for test and repply properly while refraction is done. hypermetropia at this age may give rise to accoomodation problem. this action may solve his problem.
