What Could Lower Back Stiffness Indicate After Suffering A Jerky Motion?

i am 64 years old and was in another persons boat and a huge wake appeared and i got thrown up in the air and down hard i felt a squeezing feeling in my lower back could i have put my back out i can walk but have difficulty bending this was 3 days ago i have been taking ibuprofen and vicadin

Dear patient
It seems you have got high velocity trauma to your back that needs to be investigated ad it is not relieved with pain killers. So you need to ask for Xray of lumbosacral spine anteroposterior and lateral views to rule out bony abnormalities. If it's normal do not worry as it's sprain and will be relieved with bed rest and medications. Take rest for 5 days at least and continue painkillers. If Xray report appears abnormal need to consult expert orthopaedic surgeon and get yourself examined. All the best.
