What Could Discomfort In Eardrum With Enlarged Lymph Nodes Suggest?

Hi, I have discomfort from around my eardrum radiating out into my jawline and neck on my left side only. The lymph nodes are enlarged to the touch. Sometimes, I have general numbness in the area of my upper neck and jawline. Other times it just feels like ear ache and sore throat pain radiating out to my neck and jawline. When I try to touch my chin to my neck, I can feel on the left side congestion - this sense that the left side is more crowded than the right.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query in HCM.
Looks like you are having acute lymphadenopathy with arthralgia of left temporomandibular joint. Please take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen 400 for 2 days. If the problem persist, please get examined by a doctor. It is
very unlikely that there will be problem of the ear drum, this pain what you are referring may be a radiating pain from the joint. But cannot be rule out entirely also.
I am open to any more clarifications
Wishing you all the best
