What Could Delayed Periods, Headaches And Fatigue But Negative HPT Indicate?

Hi, I was wondering, My period was almost a week late (was supposed to start monday and started late Thursday), and it only lasted about 2 days... I took a pregnancy test wednesday and it was negative... I have been feeling nauseous and throwing up for about a week now, I am not the type of person to get a lot of headaches (they are extremely rare for me) so with the amount of headaches I have had this past week or so is odd, I have been dizzy, and extremely tired, was it just too early for me to take a pregnancy test or could there be something else going on?

Hi,
In the current scenario, you can either repeat the home pregnancy test a couple of days later with a fresh early morning sample of urine or go for the assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres. You should also get your blood pressure checked as elevations untreated can also give rise to similar symptoms. If pregnancy is excluded, you should get a proper clinical evaluation by an expert and also exclude infections. A trans-vaginal sonogram a week after the due date also helps to assess the situation.
