What Could Dark Moles On Scalp Suggest?

I have a mole on my scalp that has grown to the size of a quarter with a round red ring around it almost looking like ringworm but it s dark and has several black dots. However, the other day I found a hard lump behind my left ear which is on the same side as the mole. Mole is approx 2 to 3 inches left from a center part. Really scared as to what s going on. No fever.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

You might be suffering from FAVUS, it is a fungal infection of scalp and is dark in colour. Hair pull test is required to confirm the diagnosis and sometimes it is investigated for culture examination.

Hope it helps. If you have any other question please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
Dr. Atishay Bukharia
