Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son has been vomiting and feeling sick since birth. He is now 1 year six months old. He first developed a sore around his belly button when he was one month old. We tried to treat the sore with different antibiotics and eventually my mother treated him with alovera and it helped stopped sore but we are not sure if the infection continued internally. We have been taking him to different hospitals for the last 15 months since then. he sometimes feels better for two or three weeks but then he always vomits after that and feels sick again. Please i need help and advise on what i should do.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
There could be several causes for recurrent vomiting in children. Your child should be investigated for the same. After a complete physical examination, your doctor will advise investigations depending on the examination findings. Further management will depend on the diagnosis made. It is very unlikely that a infection of umbilicus which happened so long back is a cause of his vomiting. Please consult your doctor for the same.
