What Could Cause Sudden Onset Of Chills And Tightening Of Muscles?

Hi Last night while resting near my kids, a sudden onset of chills happened. My whole body was shivering, face, legs, arms, everything! My muscles began to tighten up, and I had no control, to the point where I couldn t move. I took a hot bath, which didn t work for a while. About 2 hours later I was fine., This has been the scariest moment of my life. Do you know what this could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

Sudden onset of chills followed by increased temperature suggests malaria infection but as this is the first episode i would suggest you not to worry and observe further. This could also be muscular spasm due to stress. I would suggest you to observe yourself and if such episode occurs again then visit hospital for detailed workup.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
