What Could Cause Problem In Vocal Cords?

Recently I have been experiencing difficulty beginning a sentence and singing higher notes that were easily in my range. Is it possible that the Opalescence 35% tooth whitening gel I have been using could be affecting my vocal cords?. I'm a 53yr old male, 5' 11", 195 lbs. I have also spent the last 2 yrs undergoing major periodontal surgeries which all went well, thank you.

U can be rest assured that its not due to your tooth whitening gel. Now as periodontal procedures are mostly done under local anesthasia, that excludes any iatrogenic cause of Vocal cord damage by ET tube. WE are only left with options like Presbylaryngitis that occurs due to ageing and few Dysphonia syndrommes which can easily be differentiated by doing a Video stroboscopy. Pls get this test done and get back to me.
