What Could Cause Poor Bowel Movements, Problem Persists Despite Undergoing Colonoscopy?

Hello. I has a colonoscopy last yr & do have diverticulitis but other wise was fine. Still didnt feel RIGHT & had a scan of my gallbladder. Have sludge in it and a polyp on the outside if it. I went to a surgeon last month but he doesnt feel my gallbladder is causing my problems. I can go 4 days without a bowel movement & then only go if I take pills. Meanwhile my intestines gurgle, slush noises and gas galore! When I finally have a BM it has mucus in it. I eat very well, am 5'2" & weigh 112.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
The symptoms of constipation in spite of normal colonoscopy except diverticular disease and gurgling, slush noises, gas galore are due to primary constipation and the diverticulitis is the result of chronic constipation.
Hence it is utmost important that you take proper medication like laxative, stool softeners, bulk laxatives, motility regulator one by one. Try all and keep changing from time to time with the ones that give you best results.
There is no alternative to this.
If you pass bowel movements daily most of your problems will vanish away.
Well, the another problem of sludge and polyp in the gall bladder needs to be removed and biopsied for the sake of knowing whether there is malignant polyp or not and in itself will be be treatment.
