What Could Cause Hearing And Vision Loss?

I have hydrocephalus caused by a colloid cyst that couldn't be removed. A shunt was put in about a year ago and has been adjusted several times - the last time about a month ago. Since then I seem to have developed both hearing and vision loss. My ears seem to be congested and I have been to an ENT who removed some wax and that seemed to help for a couple of days. Could all of these things be related?

Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear hydrocephalus can cause raised intracranial pressure that cause head ache, vomiting and dizziness and tinnitus, low frequency sound hearing loss, it may cause limb weaknesses and vision problems. Vision problems due to papilledema enlargement of blind spot which lead to decresd vision. So of you again feeling this symptoms can consult doctor immediately. Shunt patients some time develops shunt infection which causes block it may lead to again raised intracranial tension features. So take about yourself and all the best.
