What Could Cause Fatigue?

I am a 49 year old male and have being suffering with extreme fatigue for the last 3 weeks. I also had a tingling sensation in my head which has now moved to my arms, back and stomach. I can not bear anything to touch it. It feels like prickly heat but there is no rash. Any ideas what may be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Basing on your symptoms I can say that you suffer from hypochondria. Hypochondria is often characterized by fears that minor bodily or mental symptoms may indicate a serious illness, constant self-examination and self-diagnosis , and a preoccupation with one's body.

Follow these guidelines in order to improve your mental health:
1. You should avoid stressful and fatiguing situations.
2. Make physical exercises like walking and running.

Head MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) and a complete blood count are necessary to check your health.

Contact your psychiatrist.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
