What Could Cause Extreme Hunger During The Night Despite Having Dinner?

it seems like when I lay down to go to bed I get extremely hungry. It doesn t matter if I ve had a good dinner or not. Like tonight I had rice, 3 kinds of vegetables, and fish for dinner with a little bit of ice cream for dessert. If I don t get up and eat when I m hungry I ll stay awake or lightly sleep the whole night and usually end up with hot flashes & sweats

As you are not quantifying the actual amount you are eating at dinner time and how much you eat throughout the day, I can assume that your body is hungry because you're not eating a satisfactory amount. Are you highly active during the day? Have you recently been reducing your intake?
May I suggest you keep a food diary of what you eat and how much activity you are engaging in. Eating 5-6 small meals per day keeps your sugar levels raised adequately so that your body is well nourished. At night, may I suggest you consume some bread with a hot milky drink. Bread keeps in the system for longer and the milk has 'lactose' which is 'sugar' or energy which stays in your body for a longer time than vegetables or fruit at night.
