What Could Cause Darkness Around The Eyelid Like A Bruise?

Hello Sir/Ma'am, this morning I woke up and noticed my left eyelid was dark as if it was bruised? At first I thought it was maybe makeup but when i tried to remove it, it didn't wipe off? I feel it's a little sore now, but have no idea what could have brought this on? Should I be concerned?

Hyperpigmentation isthe cause for darker colourationoflid .Itshould havebeen for both lid. Since it is one lid and now little sore, itmay have some infection or allergy. Clean the lid with steraile swab and apply caladryl lotion. If futher progress is stopped then give one tablet of levo cetrizine at bed time.Observefor 2days also see the other eye. If no further problem then it is ok.
