What Could Cause A Pain In The Pelvic Area For A Person Having Overactive Bladder?

I am experiencing left lower pain in the pelvic area. I have already had a hysterectomy 11 years ago. Sometimes it hurts to walk. My back is find. I just have to go to the bathroom. I have an overactive bladder an on meds for it. I have type 2 diabetes and am controlled. I just have a dull ache that hurts

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The symptoms are suggestive of either

* Urinary tract infection, which is much more common in diabetics
* involvement of Autonomic Nervous System as a long-term diabetic complication, which leads to overactive bladder or loss of control over urine passage; or,
* A pathological lesion of the kidney/bladder. An ultrasound will reveal the pathology, if present.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.
