What Could Cause A Nasal Drip And White Spot At Back Of Throat?

Recently I tried snorting crystal meth with a friend, after I hit it once I felt a scratch in my throat..almost as if a seed was stuck in it...I didn t hit again but since that day my throat has been in an extreme amount of pain and I have developed post nasal drip along with white spot on the back of my throat...yesterday I was barely able to swallow, went to urgent care ..they checked for strep and that test came back negative, could there be something else wrong?

I have gone through your query regarding post nasal drip and white spot at the back of your throat and today you are having severe pain in your throat.

I would like to tell you that probably you are having sinusitis which is giving post nasal drip and this in turn infecting the throat and tonsils ultimately it will give rise to acute sore throat as you are having.

To manage it you should do-

1- C.T. Scan of paranasal sinuses.

2- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

3- Blood - CBC, ESR, Blood sugar (F & PP).

With the help f results of above investigations and findings of clinical examinations one may made diagnosis and that may be manage accordingly.
