What Could Be The Thick White Stuff In The Sputum Of My Son Suffering From Cold And Cough ?

My 6 1/2 month old son has a cough and runny nose. He just threw up some thick white stuff, and acts like he feels better now. Should I be concerned or wait and see what happens?

Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum
Your son is having upper respiratory tract infection I suppose. This can be the thick mucous collection which he threw out. No need to worry about that. First of all we need to control the running nose and cough, so you can consult your child specialist/ENT specialist for further management. Till then try using saline nasal drops 1 drop 3-4 times/day.

Regards
