What Could Be The Swollen Area Behind The Gum Of A Loose Tooth?
5.5 year old has her second loose tooth and it's hanging slightly, but very wiggly. The area behind the loose tooth is slightly swollen and the same area as well as the teeth/gum next to the loose tooth is turning slight purple. She is not complaining of any pain. Should I be worried?
thanks your query, i have gone through your query. the swollen area behind a mobile tooth could be collection of puss secondary to tooth or gum infection. if it is in the front teeth region it can be because of erupting permanent tooth. consult a oral physician and get the mobile tooth removed since it might cause pain when your child bites. take a radiograph to rule out the erupting tooth from other infections. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
