What Could Be The Reasons For Swollen Glands, Burning Sensation In Tongue And Redness In Gum?

Hi
I have had swollen glands for a week and feel really tired.
I'm not running a fever.
My gums are red and under my tongue is red.
My tongue feels as if I would have swallowed something hot and burned it but I didn't.
Just wondering what this may be. Thanks

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to health care magic,

What you may be suffering from could be a reflux or an infection (which can occur without fever) or a vitamin deficiency.

In any case my advice is to get an complete blood work up and also an upper GI endoscopy and get back to me or any ENT with the report

You can meanwhile take an anti reflux medication like pantoprazole and a multivitamin like zincovit in consultation with your doctor

regards

Dr Sriram Nathan
