What Could Be The Reasons For Increased BP And Reduced Heart Beat During First Day Of Periods?

I ve noticed that when I start menstruation, my blood pressure goes up from 90/60 to 110/70 and my heart rate drops from 70 to 48. I also feel a pressure in my chest. This occurs on the first day of menstruation and then goes back to normal after. What could be causing this?

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

According to a study posted on the national institute of health website, blood pressure is highest right at the beginning of menstruation.
Hence don't worry.

All the best
