Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding peppermint taste in mouth, cough and burning chest pain for last 2 months and now for last 2 days it is more severe.

After co-relating your symptoms it appears as you are having upper respiratory tract infection with dyspepsia.

Your cold and cough for last 2 months indicates that it may be involving nose, and sinuses that should be investigated for planing in treatment.

prolong cough in most of the cases develops laryngopharyngeal re flux (L.P.R.). This is giving rise to symptoms of acidity and by above reflex as gastric juices ascends up in throat gives special test some times it is bitter and some times it is as you are getting.

You may take now-

1- Antacid with PPI.

2- Warm saline gargling.

3- Anti histaminic and decongestant.

4- Antibiotic (preferably broad spectrum).

Most likely above will solve your problem otherwise consultation with ENT specialist will become essential.

Regards.
