What Could Be The Reason Of Persistent Swelling In Back Caused By TB?

Last year my nephew got problem (swell) in back rib, after verification and clinically it was found that it was TB. He has taken 9 month dose for TB. after 2 month of completion of dose i.e 9 months again pain in the back ribs and become swell. After that it was operated (operation) and removed 1 inch bone from the back ribs. In biopsy report bone TB found. After 2 weeks of operation again swelling is there. Therefore, please advice what i have to do.

Greetings of the day

Its quite common to see residual or persistent swelling. its a inflammatory response and there is no cause of concern , as the surgeon would have removed most of the affected rib.

Consult your surgeon if the swelling increase in size.

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
