What Could Be The Reason For Tightness In Throat And Intermittent Cough?

My grandson has a tightness is his throat that makes him not want to talk, and a intermittent cough. He just got over bronchitis symptoms he had for one month total, after being given three different antibiotics. Amoxil, zpak, bactrium. A few days before he became ill he had and incident where a car window broke on him and he was afraid he may have swollowed a small piece of glass, dont know if this may be related.
