What Could Be The Reason For The Right Upper Quadrant Abdominal Pain And Right Back Pain And Was Hospitalised For The Pain Due To Internal Bleeding Of A Ruptured Uterus?

I went to the ER Saturday with pain similar to when I had internal bleeding with a ruptured uterus. Back, abdominal, chest, and shoulder pain. Normal abdominal xray and CT. WBC was 20k, ALT 16, AST 13. Pain reached a 10/10 (HR was 186) and was given dilaudid 0.5 mg per hour for 17 hours. Labs redrawn...WBC 10k, ALT 227, AST 179. Any ideas? Discharged yesterday, now having right upper quadrant abdominal pain and right back pain.

Hello ma'am.and welcome.

The first reading of a high WBC indicates an infection of some sort. I would recommend a hysteroscopy to look into the uterus in.more detail. I am suspecting a complication from the previous rupture of uterus that you experienced. Your operation details will also prove to be helpful, please provide the same to your doctor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
