What Could Be The Reason For The Leg To Become Weak During Cold Weather?

Hi there. This past three years I have experienced what I can only describe as a mild weakness in my right leg during cold weather. This does not happen in warmer weather. I run and exercise five times a week and when I get this feeling I usually go out for a jog or a walk and then I m fine again. I have dreadful circulation and severe raynaulds syndrome. I have no other symptoms: tingling, imbalance, etc. I m very worried it might be neurological. I went to my GP who made an appointment with a cardiologist. I will be going there in a few weeks. Any ideas?

Thanks for query on HCM.
Continuous exposure to cold weather causing extreme vasoconstriction of the peripheral blood vessels, leading to tissue hypoxia. Chronic, recurrent cases of Raynaud phenomenon can result in atrophy of the skin, subcutaneous tissues, and muscle which resulted in to weak leg.
Try to avoid exposure to cold.
Certain investigations are required to diagnose the condition.
Go for cbc, urine, fbs, ppbs, thyroid profile,urea,s.electrolyte.Also go for Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow.
An auto antibody screen, tests for rheumatoid factor, Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and C-reactive protein.
Keep in touch with your GP.
Consult cardiologist for proper diagnosis and better medical management.
