What Could Be The Reason For Spotting?
My girlfriend had spotting for the first time and we are afraid it may be due to a pregnancy. It has been 2 weeks since we had sex and she is expected to have her periods this coming weekend. She has had no other symptom of pregnancy and an infection is another option but if an infection. How did it come by?

Hello, from the history you have given, well for some women spotting occurs during ovulation period and also sometimes it occurs pre menustrally. But if you want to rule out pregnancy, you may have to wait till the expected date of her periods and then do a urine pregnancy test. Hope i was helpful to you.
