What could be the reason for my sleeping problem as I wake up taking deep breaths with fast heart beat also I feel very tired ? I had sleep paralysis few weeks ago

Hello, for some months I have been having problems sleeping. I will wake up throughout the night, and have stressful dreams. I either feel like I have not been breathing enough, or at all, or I will wake up taking deep breaths and with a fast heart beat. I feel tired in the day, and fatigued, as I don t think I am getting proper restorative sleep. I am a 19 year old girl, 48-49kg. And could this be caused by problems with my jaw or sinuses or anything like that? I don t have a cold or problems with my lungs. I also had a sleep paralysis a few weeks ago, so what could be causing this? Thanks.

Hi , thanks for your query. Your problem could be due to several problems- anxiety, stress, obstructive sleep apnoea , sinusitis or heart problems. I suggest you visit a doctor for the same. You should also try taking a warm bath before sleeping, yoga to help with stress .
