What Could Be The Reason For Having Lump In Breast, Swollen Axillary Lymph Node And Numbness In Arms?

38 yr old female, left breast lump, swollen axillary lymph node swelling, and arm numbness. Went for mammogram and ultrasound six months ago. Told I have dense breast tissue and it looks like a cyst. Three weeks later a new small lump under nipple in same breast. Seen breast surgeon and was told its nothing to worry about because of my age and the swollen lymph node is caused by cats because he asked if I had animals. Now six months later I still have both lumps and the lymph node still swollen and now weird sensation in left arm sometimes. What can this be?

Hello,
As the swelling and lymph node enlargement is there for last six months ever after treatment.
It may be due to breast cancer as you have the numbness in arms and new swelling appearing near the nipple.
Thus consult your treating surgeon regarding biopsy of the both lymph node and breast lump.

Hope this helps.
Please write back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
