My husband has been having anal leakage for a while now..probably at least a year. It affects different aspects of his life..for example.when walking a lot. .riding in certain cars..etc . I keep urging him to go to the doctor but he refuses...what could possibly cause this?

Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

Common cause of this problem is damage to the muscles around the
anus or due to any previous surgeries in that region. However, a
Physical examination is mandatory to assess this since there are
variety of other causes that needs to be ruled out. Treatment depends
on the cause but diet modification, some exercises will be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have have any clarifications.
