What Could Be The Reason For Having A Light Red Color Patch On My Skin?

I have a patch of light red color on the skin about three inches by 3 inches. It is flat with no bumps. I was wearing wool socks and have had Hepatitis C that was cleared four years ago with no return. It does not itch or burn. IT feels like nothing is there. It is defined at the boundaries and is very square to rectangular in shape. There is no blistering started and it looks like a sun burn of like I had something hot against my skin for a while and sustained a burn but it doesn't burn.
Any ideas of what this is?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

For a well defined, hypoaesthetic/anesthetic patch on the skin, i would keep 2 possibilities: Hansen's disease OR Morphea. Hansens's disease is caused by Mycobacterium leprae and it is completely curable with MDT.

I would advice that you see a dermatologist for a confirmtary diagnosis. Your treating dermatologist might ask you for a skin biopsy from the patch for a confirmation

take care
regards
